The Silenced

When media assistant Lara Mayhew abruptly quits her job working for a congressman and disappears on the way home, novice FBI agent Meg Murray receives a cryptic message from her childhood friend that suggests more is happening than a simple departure. Phil Gigante narrates the Krewe of Hunters series with the grounded competence it requires, giving the paranormal elements their proper weight without tipping the balance from thriller into pure supernatural fiction. His handling of the dual romance and investigation storylines gives each strand its appropriate pacing. At just under nine hours, The Silenced is a well-structured entry in a series that has built a large and loyal audio following.
