The Fuller Memorandum

Bob Howard, computational demonologist and reluctant field agent for the Laundry, discovers that a classified document has gone missing from the archives just as his boss, suspected of stealing it, disappears too. The Fuller Memorandum, if it exists and is what people fear it to be, could accelerate the arrival of a genuine apocalypse. Bob must navigate Russian occult agents, a fanatical death cult, and the very tentacled entities that document is meant to prevent from arriving.

Gideon Emery has been the voice of the Laundry Files throughout, and his performance of Bob Howard's particular brand of nerdy competence and escalating existential dread is a consistent pleasure. He handles the series' blend of Lovecraftian horror and bureaucratic comedy with a straight-faced delivery that is funnier and more frightening than any winking performance would be. Emery makes Bob's voice feel like someone genuinely trying to be reasonable in the face of genuine cosmic threat.
