Hollywood actor Reid Emory has coasted on his looks and easy charm, but his career has plateaued and his personal life is chaos. His new publicist Jordan Litwright agrees to a fake romance for press coverage, which is strictly business until the chemistry between them turns inconveniently real. Jordan, who prefers to stay behind the scenes, suddenly finds herself the story she's supposed to be managing.

Amy McFadden and Nick Podehl split the dual narration cleanly, their contrasting rhythms capturing Jordan's careful professionalism and Reid's loose, performative confidence. The dual-POV format works especially well in audio because the tonal contrast does half the character-building work. McFadden and Podehl have the kind of chemistry that makes the romantic tension believable even before the plot catches up with what the reader can already hear.
