Lyon's Den

About This Audiobook
A cynical journalist with zero tolerance for nature finds herself stranded in the Colorado mountains for thirty days at The Lyon's Den, an all-women wilderness retreat. Assigned by her editor to write an exposé, Joni James arrives armed with skepticism and contraband wine, only to have both confiscated. The real obstacle isn't the obstacle courses or the scavenger hunts — it's Kendall Lyon, the retreat's infuriating owner, whose confidence grates on Joni in ways she refuses to examine too closely.
Abby Craden brings sharp comic timing to Joni's running internal commentary, making the character's gradual softening feel earned rather than sudden. Craden handles the tension between sarcasm and sincerity with precision, and the shift in tone as the romance develops lands naturally in audio form. At just under seven hours, the pacing stays brisk without rushing the emotional beats. Hill's blend of enemies-to-lovers tension and fish-out-of-water humor translates especially well when heard aloud.
