Verner handles the ensemble cast cleanly, keeping character voices distinct without melodrama. At just over seven hours, the runtime feels tight and purposeful, making this one of those thrillers that works especially well in audio format, where the dread of each escalating scene lands with immediacy during a commute or long drive.
