Luke Daniels has narrated the Krewe of Hunters series consistently, and his performance gives the Boston setting its historical and atmospheric texture. He manages the series' signature blend of police procedural and supernatural investigation without letting either element overwhelm the other, and the growing relationship between Vickie and Griffin gets its appropriate emotional attention. At just over nine hours, Dark Rites moves efficiently through its premise.
