Cait discovers that beneath the city's familiar streets lies a shadow world of vampires, mythological creatures, and fading magic, and that the killer she is hunting is anything but human.

Abby Craden brings a grounded intensity to Caitlin's voice that anchors the story's urban fantasy elements in genuine emotional weight. Her performance navigates the tonal shifts between procedural tension, supernatural menace, and Cait's internal reckoning with her identity with steady control. At nearly fourteen hours, the story earns its runtime, and Craden keeps the pacing taut throughout. Wood's debut works especially well in audio, where Craden's layered delivery makes Cait's journey toward self-discovery feel immediate and real.
