About This Audiobook
Act Your Age, Eve Brown is the third Brown Sisters novel and the most comedic of the three, following Eve, the chaotic, chronically underachieving youngest sister, who accidentally injures Jacob Wayne, an obsessively controlled bed-and-breakfast owner, and finds herself working in his kitchen while he heals. Hibbert plays the enemies-to-lovers format for genuine comedy while also making both characters' defenses feel rooted in real damage.
Ione Butler's narration captures the banter's comic timing with precise delivery that doesn't oversell the jokes. Her Eve is genuinely funny rather than just described as such, and Jacob's frosty exterior is rendered with enough warmth underneath to make his slow capitulation convincing. The series' particular pleasure is making characters who are full people first and romantic leads second.
